Xpadder Profile Need For Speed Most Wanted

So what if I want a profile for a game that has only 2 buttons? Can I assign 2 buttons for the one game? Say, a D-pad for move, and a D-pad for shoot. If I could do that, then I could just make a new profile that maps all the buttons to one button on the controller. Then have a profile for another game that uses the other button.
PS- I just tried the new Xpadder 2.0. It is way nicer then before! I forgot how to do a blank default (it worked before), but in 2.0 it asks you to press a button and then press a button, and it will map the buttons. As a result you dont have to assign it to the autoprofile. It just makes it easier
I setup my default profile (blank) and my nfs world profile (nfsw). When I start up the game I get a notification on the screen that it can use 2 controllers. When I hit the nfsw profile, I get the nfsw dpad info, when I hit the nfsw profile, and hit the dpad buttons, they work. When I hit the nfsw profile, I get the nfsw dpad info, when I hit the nfsw profile, and hit the dpad buttons, they work. When I hit the nfsw profile, and hit the dpad buttons, they work, but when I hit the nfsw profile, and hit the buttons, it says DPad only, no buttons work. I tried setting the default back to blank, to auto, which is what I thought I did, but no luck. When I close the game, and reopen it, I get the same problem. I'm really losing hope at this point. What am I doing wrong?
Oh ya if you arent running W7, im not sure if you need to update your xpadder to get the latest version. If you dont have much experience with the ins and outs of xpadder, I would say you can probably just download the latest version and just install it over the old one. Its been a while since ive used xpadder, but if youre having trouble than maybe a restart of your computer would help. I dont know if that will work but I just thought i'd give it a shot
